My old CRT 21" monitor was ok at 75hz turning was nice and smooth and felt nice. I have had my BenQ 24" HD monitor for around 4 months and it seems to get a lot motion blur when moving its really off putting when gaming i like smooth movement in games. Would a samsung LED which has 120 and above refresh rate be any better? im really that annoyed with the motion blur now.

If you want to eliminate motion bur, I think you want to go for one of the new 120Hz PC monitors. Beware of TVs advertising 120Hz+ as this is often inaccurate and certainly not comparable to true 120Hz technology used in monitors like this.

Motion blur isnt necessarily caused by the refresh rate, most good 60Hz monitors will have no noticable ghosting. If you want to stick around for led backlight monitors then do, but they have a long way to go to give any improvement over normal backlights (the panel makes a big difference), and once they are the weapon of choice oled will be much more available - and will blow everything else out of the water.

even CRT?

When you say CRT, you mean... Will OLED blow CRT out of the water? Absolutely! I've seen some beautiful Samsung OLED screens (prototypes) in Hong Kong and they are just on a different level.
