Considering a multi monitor setup.....

Hi,

Currently I have a 24'' monitor that is on its last legs (green lines and nothing else across screen for about 5-10 mins when the screen 'warms up'...is the best way i can describe it). Been looking at potential replacements and realised for the price of a similar size monitor I could probably get a hold of 2 or 3 21.5'' or 22'' monitors.

Got a new 6950 recently and was wondering if it would be worth trying to set up a 3 monitor eyeinfinity type thing.

Can anyone give me some idea of what i will lose/gain. I am presuming that the 3 monitors are harder for the gfx to run so graphics settings would need to be turned down a bit, but wasn't sure how much? I mainly use my pc for games, videos and web stuff. Has anyone made a similar switch and if so what has been your verdict after having it for a while, worth it or wish you had stuck with what you had?

I use 3 monitors for multitasking, but only the centre one for gaming. It allows me tod more at once, especially when making websites, never really tried eyefinity, I have a 20" and 2 17" monitors. Definately worth getting another though

. I hate using one screen now!

. I have messed about with a dual monitor setup for general use but never tried the 3 monitor eyeinfinity thing, looks good but not sure if a better single monitor would be the correct option.

Remenber that for a 3 monitor setup with a HD 6950 you'll need at least 1 monitor with a displayport input or you'll need to factor in the cost of an active DisplayPort adapter.

Hi, yeah I found that out thanks

Found a few different ones, they seem to come in around the £15-£20 mark. Appreciate you pointing it out tho
