Considering a new case...

Currently have an Eclipse 62, but as I've had it quite a few years (when a 6800GT cost £300!) I'm thinking about a change.

I want something that looks nice, is sturdy and is easy to work it.

A removable motherboard tray would be good, as would a decent amount of HDD bays (currently have 4 and will probably end up buying a couple more sometime this year). I'd love it if the HDDs were easy to get to as well.

Any anti-vibration mounts, silencing, etc would also be a plus.

Don't want much do I?! :p Well, I do, but that's only because the Eclipse is so good and there wouldn't be much point changing it unless there was something better. :)

So any recommendations?

Everything that you have asked for the Akasa Eclipse 62 has to offer and some more.. change to another case and you wish you had your Eclipse back... I know it happened to me :)

Built my new system over the weekend, how much space do you need, more pics in my Akasa Eclipse 62 Thread.

The Lian Li cases look nice, particularly the PC-V2000 Plus II. :)

One thing I've noticed though, a lot of their cases have the motherboard mounted upside down. I've heard this can cause problems with heatpipes?

Antec P190.

Just finished moving my system from my Antec 900 into it.

It is pure quality. Loads of room. No removable MB tray, but you don't really need one with this case.

I may as well chip in on this thread as i have just bought a new case - the Coolermaster 690. Just the right size and is laid out very nicely with no effort needed for cable management due to the design.

had a asus a8n32 s939, asus p5k premium and my currunt mobo evga 680 all with heatpipes in my v2000 and not had any probs at all not even high temps

I brought a Lian-li v2000+ to replace my Eclipse; Beautifully made case, very quite. But for some reason despite all the holes and twice as many fans the motherboard temps where sky high! Theres definatly somthing going on with the upside down mobo mount and heat pipes. Also it was a bit of a sod getting the mobo installed with a massive heatsink as there wasn't a lot of room to get your hand and screw driver in there! so back to the Eclipse :)
