I've been offered a Shuttle SG41J1 PLUS XPC for a price i can't refuse.

I've got an old lga 775 c2d chip that will drop in and 1gb of ddr3 ram.

All i'm worried about is the pci-e graphics, i notice it only has a 250w psu.

I've checked on the shuttle site, they say cards like the 8800 gtx and gtx 260 are supported, surely not?

What pci-e card could i drop into this shuttle to get some decent gaming going. I don't need anything too high end at all.

With a 250W PSU you're not meant to put a graphics card in it.

You've not really done much research to backup that comment have you.

I've had numerous shuttles in my time and they all come with very high quality power supplies.

My last one which was the Shuttle SG31G2 had a 250w power supply and quite happily ran an E8400 overclocked to 3.6Ghz and also an Ati HD 3850

So yes you can run quite decent graphics cards in a shuttle with a 250w power supply.

This is what i thought. I know they can run most single slot pci-e cards.

I just need to know how far up the gpu cash ladder i can go, before the psu starts topping out!

You could run upto these I would think:-

Ati HD 5770
Nvidia GeForce 460 768mb

I would recommend going to at least 2GB memory if you want to do gaming with it though.
