Hi all,

Recent RMBP purchase has given me Yosemite 'cleanly' for the first time, my iMac I always just upgraded and never wiped in the years I owned it.

Anyway, I've noticed a lot of issues/bugs with Yosemite mainly surrounding when the MB sleeps. I find that Mail app regularly freezes, crashes, generally needs killing with fire after its been to sleep. Sometimes it doesn't sync with my accounts (I run 5 mail accounts from it)

I'm considering a replacement. I like Mails integration with my Calendar and Contacts, and the conversations is there an alternative which does the same just as well? I have Office V15 so could use Outlook...but I don't know how well that'll integrate like Mail does.

Any suggestions please? :)

TIA
Jake

I too have experienced issues with Mail on Yosemite but recently its been working better, I find it crashes when connecting to the mail server but closing and relaunching fixes it. What I do is restart Mail every few days and haven't had any problems of late. Thankfully its only used for work mail!

My primary client is http://airmailapp.com/ which works really well.

For everything else I just the Fastmail webmail (personal email) which does the job.

Found Mailbox, which looks epic. But that only works with gmail & iCloud, so I'd need to transfer my emails to google apps for it to work...hmmm

I've got 6 accounts setup in Mail as IMAP. Get the odd blip with Virgin's terrible mail servers asking for passwords, otherwise it's working OK.

It's only a month until El Captain, and I have to say Mail has been running really well on the current beta. Gmail, iCloud and a 365 Exchange account. Might be worth holding off as it brings some nice new features.

Crapped out on me again yesterday, bleh.

Am considering moving my 3 business emails to gmail hosting to see if that makes a difference.

I used to have issues with Gmail in Mail, think Google changed the way something works which broke it.
How about O365? At least you can then use Outlook on your mac

I've already got Outlook (along with the full Office suite) but wasn't sure if this integrated in with the Mac address book etc?
