Title says it all, been looking at this for months and mainly want to 3d print figurines and maybe sell some services to friends who paint warhammer.

I'm 90% geared to getting a Saturn and im keen to hear opinions and see examples from anyone who may have one.

Owner of a Saturn, Mars 3 & Mars 2 pro here they are all fantastic printers but I would say an essential purchase for you is also a Mercury X wash & cure station it makes cleaning so much easier & less mess, the only time I wear nitrile gloves is when I clean and drain the tanks on the printers.

Have you considered the Mars 3 ? it actually prints faster than the Saturn & produces perfect prints.

CHECK OUT THE LINK BELOW THE MODEL ON THE LEFT WAS PRINTED ON THE SATURN AND THE ONE ON THE RIGHT THE MARS 3

Cheers all

Honestly I would love a resin printer. My main concerns are fumes, the post processing involved and the waste it produces.

For my particular scenario, I am also concerned about strength since I make parts for paintball markers that take a LOT of abuse and high forces. (Impact/twisting/all weather, below freezing to extreme sun). I read that resin has got a lot better, but my parts will be used or left in the sun, so I worry about UV damage/weakening since it is a UV based material.

@Scougar @roman59

Cheers for the input guys, yeah ive factored in initial setup costs and curing gear.

My main aim is figurines more than anything and the ABS like resin is meant to be pretty hardy for what it is.

Let us know how you get on. As much as I have reservations... I'll be jelly lol. :D (I would really like a 'tall' resin print for certain prints)

Got ya! If/When I get one, I’ll be doing 1/50 scale (I think) so would rather have faster prints than larger build volume.

I need to sell my Ender 3 to help fund it first!
