I've now got two cars, my Mazda 6 which I've had since 2018 and the E65 750i that I picked up in July.
Since getting the 750i, I've barely driven the Mazda, despite the plan being that the BMW was going to be a second car. I like the 750, it's comfortable and it's relatively quick but I know that it's a potential time bomb.
I do around 6000-7000 miles a year, a lot is around town but I do some long runs as well, including loading the car right up with a very full boot of luggage and a very full back seat, my lad is 6'5" tall and almost as wide.
Therefore I do need a big car. What I don't need is a big diesel engine because I don't do the office runs I used to and in time, my around town driving is going to destroy the DPF.
Obviously, I don't want anything electric.
So I'm seriously considering chopping them both in and getting a big petrol car. I'd be quite happy with another V8 but it's not essential because I've ticked that box now. I'd be looking at part-exchanging the Mazda and BMW in and financing the rest with a loan. I've got used to the power of the BMW, whatever I get needs to be the same sort of power or more, just because I like it.
This has jumped out at me.

Would I be totally potty to consider this? I'm back to being a big lad again, will I fit in the front of something like this? The 750 basically has armchairs as front seats whereas these look somewhat more buckety. Will my lad fit in the back? He fits snugly into the back of the Mazda and he's got plenty of room in the back of the BMW. I don't want me or him to be cramped in. Wifey is 6'2" so she needs a bit of space as well.
