Hi guys.

I've seen a good price on L4D2 recently and I was considering purchasing it, however I've never played L4D1 and I don't know anyone that plays L4D2.

Is this the type of game where you really need to know other people that play it, or is it easy enough just to matchmake with other people online?

Cheers

Ahh seems like to much hassle. CBA go around adding people just for a decent round. Looks like I'll pass this one.

defiantly pass, its far to much hassle to put a tiny bit of effort in, you need a game that will do it all for you really, or perhaps a film of some games ? :p

Well why should I spend money on a game and have to use my own time to get games together? Just seems pointless.

You dont have to spend anytime adding, either use matchmaking or join the ocuk group. If thats too much trouble for you then i doubt you'd have got past the install process anyway ;).

then your ***** then, I cant think of a game that doesn't involve using your time, praps try and install one wrong so it crashes to desktop on launch ?.

The reward is well worth the effort. You don't need to add everyone on the list, that would be sheer madness, select a handful at random to add as well as adding the regulars such as Link, FrenchTart, Spils, Evilsod, Tefal et al.

Once you're in games you can add people who you like quite easily.

Of course, you could always play public and you might be lucky and get some great games in. In my experience though public games have always been a trying experience with more time and effort wasted than was needed to get a friends game going.

Adding friends also reduces the amount of effort you need to put in because you will occasionally be spammed with game invites. In these cases joining a game is as simple and straight forward as clicking "join game".

At the end of the day it's entirely up to you what you want to do and it's your loss if you decide not to get this game.

I love this game, and if you want my honest opinion, anytime iv'e played public theres been no problems.

The game itself is awesome with graphics being insane.

I can't find a fault with this game its awesome.

I play with my mates, but you'll find you'll come across like minded players and either I or they tend to add me to the friends list, and after some time it gets pretty large, so you're likely to have at least one other you know online at some stage to game with.
Public play doesn't bother me all that much tbh. Yes there have been bad experiences but the same can be said for any game. Most of the time I enjoy playing with just public peeps.

The game is a lot of fun and strangely addictive, I very much doubt you'll regret your purchase.
