Hey guys,

I've had the HD (using Miri's 6.5 v20) since about Feb now and to be honest as great as WinMo is with it's business and PDA functions and mass applications I still find it a bit lacking and boring. I had a go on a friends G1 and to be honest I felt almost sold, it was quicker to my touch, screen looked brighter and firmer and the interface was droolworthy. The only issue is I original sold a HTC Touch Pro to get this phone (T-Mobile contract) so I can either buy the HTC Hero sim-free (is it out?) or sell the HD (very likely). WHat do you guys think of this move? Just want some opinions in case I'm missing something. How does Android sync with Windows for example is important?

The HTC Hero sim-free is £400 in white. It should be on sale early August however expect further delays.

Have you seen the Heros UI called Sense UI? The Heros interface is different to the G1 as it runs Sense UI which gives you 7 homescreens and widgets. If you look in the main Hero thread there are loads of links to reviews and screenshots from the phone. Coolsmartphone has a 7 day video review which is interesting.

You shouldn't have too much of a problem selling your Touch HD, it's still a high end phone. Developers are trying to port Android on to the HD but how long it'll take and the stability of the port is unknown.

I just got nearly £200 on the bay for a touch diamond so you should get good money for the touch hd - you will not regret switching to android
