Hi folks

please can you tell me roughly what the overall performance boost of this cpu would be over mine if I rebuilt my system with one of these bad boys? (I know its a full upgrade) I may even consider a quad core.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz (1333FSB) - Retail

link (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-192-IN)

I currently have
939 athlon 64 4200 x2 (clocked to 2.4ghz)
rest of my current system is
corsair xms 2 GB DDR 400 Asrock 939 dual sata2, 8800Gt pci-e

If its a huge boost then i will do a full upgrade, but otherwise I will wait for a while until the next generation cpu's come out. I do folding and heavy gaming at 1680x1050.

thanks for any replies. I've been out of touch on the CPU front for ages now (hence socket 939!)
