Why is it that a lot of console games for controller setup only allow you to chose from a few selections.

why dont they all allow custom controller setup - a lot of games that have this i always think, i want to switch this one button with another as it would be easier/better, more comfortable etc.

It surely cant be that hard for them to set games so that we can change controls to the style we want/like.

i imagine most games will have controls mapped out that are the most comfortable or easiest to use with respect to the functions/objectives your supposed to be doing, "optimised" for most people

tbh I haven't found a game yet where I'd like to swap the buttons (except inverted aim.....yes, i'm a dirty invert! lol), though you are right, i guess having customizable controls would be nice in some games

That always wound me up about halo. Why the funk can't I have a custom control setup.

Smash brothers allows full customisation and I really appreciate that but then it's a much more competitive game.
