I am getting sick of seeing nothing but console ports onto the PC. After playing a few of them I am left with the impression that console gamers are too stupid to tie their own shoelaces. Am I the only one who thinks this?

console controllers have around a dozen buttons , keyboards + mouse have over 105

not hard to figure out why console games are simple :)

The PC gets so few original titles because it just isn't worth the investment. Either you don't bother testing every single hardware combination and get torn to pieces by nerds complaining about framerates, or you spend years developing something that's as close to perfect as it can be, and then see people willing to spend hours upon hours searching for ways to play it for free instead of coughing up £25. It's impossible to win.

I'v got a PS3 at the mo and I am switching to PC... but that doesn't mean they are for morons... Most people can't afford a high end PC to play on... and lets face it, to play at the resolutions the PS3/360 play at isn't cheap... You have to get a mouse, keyboard, game controller (for games that mouse/keyboard are useless for)... then a monitor... and thats not even starting on the actual rig... And a PS3 doesn't have to be upgraded... a PC does.

Games consoles are designed to be more of a jump in, anyone can play system... PC are more for enthusiasts imo.

Just my two pence :D

Dare you to get this thread moved to the console gaming section!

Some good does come of cross platform titles though, even if a lot of the new games are shoddy ports. Look at FO3 for example, amazing game, though the developers did give it the time it needed for a proper PC build by design. Shame it's not that stable still.

I think a lot of it is to do with piracy, which lessens what is already only a small section of the computer games industry. I never used to PC game when I was smaller - had no interest until I was about 12-13, plus it's way more expensive to keep up.
