PS4 still leading the pack, while Wii U sales have picked up and again selling more than the Xbone.

Mario Kart 8 still performing strong, Last of Us Remastered big sales in US. Other region sales not up yet. Watch Dogs sales slowing, much lower numbers now.

Man ban this bloke and thread purely on the basis of his sources...

ps3ud0

Please feel free to add your own source info, that's the purpose of the thread, to discuss sales and opinions.

Also you don't need to write your name after every single comment you make, if you look to the left your forum name is clearly visible :P

Is that 5m Xbox One figure units sold to consumers? from what I understand a couple of months after launch Microsoft started publishing units sold to retail instead... so if that's still the case a significant portion of that 5m could still be stuck on warehouse shelves.

You only have to look at the number of Xbox One exclusives going multiplatform to see how badly it is doing.

Some of the Xbone games I wanted coming to PC is the reason I wouldn't bother picking up an Xbone yet. Wanted Dead Rising and it's on it's way, also Rise will be worth a go on PC imho. Nothing out at all atm that would make me pick up an Xbone. New Halo and Gears of War could tempt me in the future.

The Wii U has done a good job outselling the Xbone for a few weeks now, be interesting to see if Nintendo can keep this up. Smash Bro's and Bayonetta should help sell a few more systems later on this year.

PS4 is just destroying the other consoles atm, surprising really because there isn't a great wealth of must have titles on PS4 yet either. When PS4 does get some great exclusives I imagine sales will skyrocket even further.

Pointless discussion when those opinions and sales are based on what most consider is pretty much fabricated data.

ps3ud0

That would come under 'conjecture'. Why not post some alternative legit sources then and add to the thread, or do you just come to troll?

Either way it's fine. Peace.

Its always quite sad when people that have no real actual argument feel they can use pathetic redirection to make their case. It really makes it obvious how weak their original position was...

Yes I'm trolling  - just like making an 'innocent' thread about next-gen console sales when the last official values were announced a fair while ago - or did something magical happen with the VGChartz sales that you felt needed to be discussed? Remind me what vital questions you posed in the OP?!?

At least attempt to put some effort in and verify your source for this 'conjecture' - generally when a source extrapolates sales in particular regions because it has no ability to calculate them and then invariable gets it wrong and has to fudge them after release by using more accurate numbers from the likes of sales tracking companies NPD and Media Create it seems near useless data to make inferences from. This isn't some industrial secret...

Please feel free to use any source to share any info on any console. There is no agenda here. Post about PlayStation, Nintendo or Microsoft.

I don't know why people are so obsessed with console sales figures. If it was a case of one selling badly I might understand but both consoles are selling really well. The PS4 is doing amazing, but haven't both consoles surpassed sales expectations.

Somebody mentioned that this generation consoles were almost like last generation in reverse. Well I agree, in more ways than just numbers sold. This time round the Microsoft console is more difficult for developers to get to grips with. But just like last generation, games will be coming thick and fast for both ps4 and the xbox one.

Yeah I agree, and your opinion on the sales is right both PS4 and Xbone are selling well, as sales talk always come up in other threads, thought it might be good to have a thread that all of that kind of stuff could be directed to. Like you said PS4 and Xbone are both selling well, much better than a lot of people predicted, as many thought console popularity was tapering off. Even though Xbone is behind Wii U, the Wii U has had a massive head start, so Xbone could overtake it at some point. Nintendo will have to keep pushing out quality games if they want to stay in the race..
