I'm looking for something that can be used to restrict access to my lads PS4, Something like a coin operated TV, Insert a coin/token and you get a set amount of time.

I have no problems stopping him going on it but I want him to learn himself how to manage his time and budget. He will get a set amount of tokens and can "spend" them how he chooses.

I've seen some cheap looking things but they are in the US.

make him pay you to rent it? it means having to remove the console... or if you don't think he can get hold of another controller by his own means then rent that to him

that might also help to teach him how to interact with humans lol

Completely missed the point. He doesn't pay me as that would be ridiculous

Some people let their kids sit on consoles all day, some set a time when they can play and some have a timer but you have to be there to mointor so they don't go over their time.

Just like pocket money, Some parents give their kids money when ever they ask so they don't really learn the value of money as it's always on tap to a limit. Mine get pocket money weekly and they can either spend it all in one go or learn to budget so they have money all week.

It's the same with the console, He gets a set amount of hours per week and he can choose how he uses them and with a box I wont have to be there to supervise.

ps4 comes with a "passcode" that you can set per account. He can't log on unless he "pays" you.

That would work... :)

I'm not always here due to work and want him to have more control without me having to be there.

Cheers guys. It would be connected to the display so no damage to the console that way.

Lokiss thats the sort of thing I'm after, glad gou can understand what I'm trying to do ;)
