The next gen is upon us and I find the Xbox controller extremely comfortable and easy to use.

I wanted to make the switch due to Playstation Plus free games...but there's not much point in switching when I can't use the controller.

I've only had ps plus 2 months but have an awesome array of games to enjoy.

I'm not sure how people are able to have a good game of cod or battlefield without hand cramps. My aim with a ps controller also means I only shoot the floor or sky.

Anyone else an Xbox player that wants to switch but like me can't use it?

I thought I prefered the 360 pad as well but having recently bought a PS3 I find the analogs much better for driving for some reason, aiming took some getting used to but it's fine now. The controller is worse to hold though especially if you have large hands.

It's what you're used to I think.. I prefered the Xbox controller originally but after most of my friends played PS and I played it more I actually find it harder going back to the xbox.

But as mentioned above the PS4 pad has been changed, it's wider, a little chunkier and the trigger buttons have been redesigned and apparently it's pretty good. It's one of things I'm looking forward to trying at the Eurogamer tomorrow.

Other way round for me & I have big hands, Had a 360 for ages but couldn't play FPS & only played drivers on it. On the PS3 I played FPS online within hours of using it.

Yup other way round for me too - Always been used to playstation controllers so I often struggle with my current xbox 360 controller :(

used to the 360 controller but moved to ps3 due to(baby, life, money) can't afford xbox online. And am finding the ps3 pad back buttons really annoying as my fingers cover both buttons as the same time :D

There are plenty of 3rd party controllers that are essentially 360 controllers but for PS3, e.g.

PowerA Pro Elite Wireless Controller

Speedlink Xeox Pro

Get some Gioteck Real Triggers, they are about £1.50 and make the triggers soooooooo much better. They just clip on over the current triggers, it's a 30second job to fit them.

Hahaha... I actually just received a set of these (ORB) versions from Amazon today.

Also awaiting adapters for the analogue stick to make the top of them a recessed grip. Can't get on too well with as standard.

Those standard L2 and R2 triggers are horrendous. The angle of depress just feels completely wrong. Hoping these attachments sort it out for me, as I'm loving the console to bits so far (only had it a week or so).

I did exactly the same, bought triggers and the analogue stick covers the day after I got my PS3. Why they went for curving inward triggers and convex thumbsticks is anyones guess! Completely backwards >_<

Read some impressions of people who have used the DS4 and you will see that they have fixed all the issues with the controller. Pretty much everybody who has used both the DS4 and XB1 controller say it is equal now, with basically only your personal preference to the analogue position making a difference now, and you will get over that after using it anyway.

I must have lucky hands, I've never had an issue with the Playstation pad or Xbox pads.

Come to think of it, I liked the Dreamcast and Gamecube pads too.
I have quite small hands and have never had problems with the Playstation controllers.

I couldn't use the original Xbox fat controller, it was too big.
I LOVED the gamecube controller. It was very comfortable and seemed to fit perfectly into the shape of my hand.
I liked the 360 controller but to me, other than the feel of the analogue stick, it wasn't any better to me than the DS3. The position of the analogue stick doesn't make a difference.

I guess maybe it is my large hands haha. My hands fit perfectly and snuggly on the xbox pad, but I hold the ps controller very awkwardly which does tend to hurt after awhile.

I've never understood why they don't make small/med/large versions of each pad to suit different groups.
