I have decided i am done with fans, i am going to upgrade my Pc using the RESERATOR1 V2 Fanless Water Cooling System, the water block it comes with is compatible with socket 1366, is this a good socket to base my new mobo on ?..i have some other questions below as well.

1. The i7 is a little to pricey for me although i will consider it if performance is much better, currently i have an i5 on a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD5 P55 Socket 1156 with 6gb DDR3, im looking to dump the mobo, ram and chip into another pc, i am interested in the sandybridge i5 cpus but given my graphics card is a mid rangish one (Nvidia geforce 9600 GT) is it pointless me getting a SB cpu or will it enhance the performance of the graphics card ?..essentially..is there any point buying a sandybridge socket 1155 cpu over a i5 socket 1156 ? as a side note i am looking to do some heavy video rendering of home movies and i also do a lot of mass par repair which really slows things down

2. If i was to lump for a SB cpu, then being aware of the issues with the first gen p67 boards what is the mobo of choice these days ? epox used to be quite good but of late i have used gigabyte, are they still forerunners and are thier P67 boards good..should i look to a X58 ?

3. With regard to the water cooling i am looking at, i cant seem to see any 1155 socket water blocks, there are 1156 a plenty, are these of the same fit ?

I hope theres not to many questions here, i would really appreciate some input as i value good advice and opinions..please also mention other options or ideas..im looking to spend in the region of around £300- £400

Thanks

I would go to a 1155 system so i could have a sandbridge processor, the processor being an upgrade, no ?..also the reservator V2 from zalman comes with a 1156 water block though im sure i could change this, essentially im going to move the mobo, chip and ram into another pc as an upgrade to that which is currently a dual core..ill sell that on.

Im a bit confused with these sandy bridge processors though...are they better capable of handling video rendering or something.

Why is the card i have crap ? other than the fact i cant stand the noise from the fan (i removed it and have a fanless heatsink on it)..i RARELY play games on the PC, if ever...i dont want to spend £200+ on a new graphics card to maybe play a game once or twice..but you know what its like...you just gotta have it there in case...initially i thought i could get a mobo 1155 socket and use the onboard VGA along with the SB cpu..but i think i am way off course there.
