I recently tried fixing a problem where my pc would crash to a black screen with grey lines or a completely black screen every hour whilst playing a game. I would have to hold down the power button on my pc to turn it off and back on again.
I did have an overclock on my CPU which was stable for at least 4 hours using occt but I restored my bios back to factory settings to take off my overclock to see if this solved the problem. However this seems to have made matters worse. My pc will now crash constant and consistently ever 20-30 mins to a black screen with no sound and then a no signal message will pop up on my monitor.
I have tried bumping the voltage up for stock clock speed and even reapplying my previous overclock but this same issue keeps happening. Does anyone have any idea what could have happened? Is there a setting I could have forgot to change in the bios. Is my CPU dieing from the overclock I previously applied? ( I only bumped the voltage up to 1.200 and it never ran hotter than 60C) it could be my grfx card but why only now when I down lock my CPU?
Thanks
