Ok, i have this computer, which is booting up to the windows OS loading screen, but then continues to restart and does this over and over again.

Ive now got the hard drive in another computer and i can access it fine. Could one of Windows' files have corrupted? If so can i simply replace it with the one in my working machine? or will this cause problems? thanks,

andy

hehe. Sorry i forgot to mention, LKGC and Safe mode dont work either. It tries loading windows but eventually the PC restarts again.

Yup - As advised - Run the XP Setup... PRESS ENTER to setup XP... THEN enter the repair mode.
(Lots of people enter the recovery console instead)

Also - Kick your brother in the groin.

It would be worth checking the BIOS options to see if he's been playing in there too.

Sounds like the bios isn't set up correctly. Try going into the BIOS then pressing Load Optimised Defaults. It should fix your problems.
