Contact cards (using photoshop)

Im trying to make a contact card in Photoshop but it just looks awful, its pixelated including the text..Why cant i get it sharp? the background is not much of a problem but the text looks awful when i print it out.

Its prob. to do with the original set-up ( pixels per inch )

Have sent a sample back to you.

As i thought the original set-up (pixels per inch) was wrong.

Use 300 pixels per inch for printed work / 72-96 is ok for screen

Iv sent an e-mail back, iv managed to get the text sharp but it looks odd because the background is pixelated still.
