For those who wear contact lenses, Which one have you found best?
I am currently with specsavers and they are okay but not too comfortable. Maybe because I have astigmatism? I pay £18/month. I might be switching to a better alternative if there is.

Talk to your optician, if they're uncomfortable get them to recommend another pair that fit your measurements and keep going back until you find the right ones.

I am in a similar situation, do you find them uncomfortable around the very left edge (left eye) and right edge (right edge) as if they are not quite wide enough.
I have an astigmatism too, and I am wondering if this is why?
 
Acuvye Oaysis. Undisuputably the the soft lenses on the market. They are also available for astigmatism correction :)

I just get mine as and when I need. Haven't bothered with these monthly payment plans for years - It costs a fortune. Just order from online supplies when I am about to run out. Each pair lasts me 3-4 weeks.

Just make sure that you have ensured you are on the correct fitting lens and don't forget to still get your checkup every 6 months at the opticians.
 
There is no best contact lense as what works for others might be terrible for you, just try them at your opticians, they normally let you try them for 5 days at vision express
 
I buy my own and get the Biofinity lenses, they're extended wear lenses and I find them way more comfortable than the lenses I had before (forgot the brand).

But same as others have said it's always best to get it done with the opticians first, then maybe look into buying them yourself if its cheaper..
 
Focus one dailies for me because they are allow a lot of oxygen through and are good for drier eyes. They are expensive at 49 for 30 pairs but I only wear them occasionaly so they normally last 6 months.
 
I've used J&J lenses for years and currently use two weekly Acuvue Oasys. I can't stand daily wear contacts as they never seem to be as comfortable. I was given some Biofinity ones to try but found my eyes felt drier more quickly when wearing them.
 
As others have said it's a subjective matter, so you should, once you've had a prescription, try a small quantity of a particular brand and then do the same afterwards until you find one that works for you.

I too have an astigmatism and in my case I found the Bausch and Lomb PureVision Toric ones to be the most comfortable. However, when you first start using contacts you may find it takes a while before your eyes get used to having something on them. You could also try different cleaning solutions if your not using daily ones. If you are using lens cases and cleaning fluid, be very fastidious with the cleaning routine. Periodically discard lens cases and replace them and only clean them with contact lens solution and never water.

Been using the new Dailies Total 1 recently. They've got the highest oxygen permeability of all the soft lenses (so i'm told).
 
As others have said go to the optician and they can get you a weeks trial of most lenses free these days. I used to use Acuvue moist which were one of the dearer lenses, then I tried Focus Dailies Toric they were cheaper and far more comfortable.
 
Who thought asking on a computer forum was a good way to get contact lenses eh? :eek:

Specsavers do more than one type of lens as well, so do some research first if you don't even know what you are wearing right now!

Mime also gave me a different one for each eye, went away fir 45mins, came back changed for a another two different ones, came back and ordered the best ones, seems to work really well and solution can make such a difference as well some sting like hell others are fine, also takes a while, I'm only just getting used to them after 3 weeks or so. Started wearing them daily rather than when I could be bothered.

And I get a new case with new lenses.

Also astigmatism rather than power.
