Contemplating buying a laptop

Alrighty, so I'm thinking of buying a cheapo laptop. It's either that, or buy a new console, and I'm trying to think of what one I'd like most.

At the moment, though, I'm struggling to find one in my price range. The things I want to do are:

Browse the internet wireless (which must be bog-standard thesedays)
Do some light homework (Microsoft packages, etc)
Very light gaming, hardly much at all really. Preferably WoW, and I have no idea how much that stresses laptops.
Multimedia, etc. (movies, music, etc)

I'm not sure how much a laptop like this would cost. I'd really only like to spend around £200. I don't mind if it's second hand either.

If I can't find something for around that price, I might just pick up a 360, Wii or PS3.

I have pretty much no knowledge of laptops, so I'm counting on you guys ;) Hope my budget isn't too tight.

you wont get anything new for that kinda money, you could get a perfectly capable 2nd hand laptop tho, i would go for a mobile pentium one rather then a p4, tend to be better specced with ddr2, less noisy and less power to run, not sure about wow but you can get some laptops with built 3d cards such as geforce go's or early radeons, try avoid online auctions as they go for way more than the're realistically worth, scour the local papers or free adds,

Thanks for the help, I looked around Ebay and they seem to be about the £180-£200 mark, although I'm still no expert.

If I can find something that looks good, I'll have to think about buying one.

you can find decent ones for about that price in member market every week or so, but you need 250posts to access it :)
