Really at a cross roads with technology as not heavily involved in either ecosystem. The thing that is mithering me is that if i go Apple, i never own any content such as films that i buy on apple tv and music. What if they ever go bump? Id have spent all that money and lost it forever. Same for either microsoft or google. Do you think a better idea would be to buy the actual content physically and buy a big storage nas drive and then just hoard all my stuff that way?

Matt

You never truly own the content anyway..just a licence to use it. But that's being pedantic as I knew what you meant :D

I've used both PCs and Apples over the years, PCs more so. I wouldn't worry about the nature of how the content is stored as Apple aren't going anyway.

Pick the ecosystem that's right for you. Try both, read some reviews and see what you like

Decided go all Apple , so got an AppleTV and an iPhone 5. Was going buy a new mac mini but it looks like they may be launching a haswell powered mac mini as there is a 5-7 delay in shipping now.
