I imagine the premiums would be higher if this exists? I was looking to go with Admiral but their documents say they don't cover damage by pets.

I don't think you're going to find one that covers it. It's not an accident if your dog had a nibble on your laptop is it, that's entirely on you as an owner.

EDIT: Looking into it, actually, there can be accidents. One example was your dog knocking something over with its tail etc, but things like biting, scratching etc are not covered.

Couldn't you just the wife accidentally ate your laptop?

my contents insurance covered my 60" when the cat jumped at it and threw it off balance, I didnt say the cat did it though I just said it fell.

if i said the cat did it i have no idea if it would have been covered

direct line that was

Probably not. Just had a quick check on my Halifax policy and even under the ultimate policy with full accidental damage cover it excludes damage by pets. As above, if it was something ambiguous like the TV got knocked over or a bottle of red wine spilled on the middle of your brand new cream carpet, you could* tell the insurance company that it was you/your partner/child and it's unlikely they would reject the claim on that basis, but if you were trying to claim for your corner sofa which was covered in cat urine... not going to happen!

* obviously this would be insurance fraud and I'm definitely not suggesting anyone does this! ;)

Seems to be a fair few options out there.
