Contents Scanning Tools

Anyone used any good content scanning tools, to find out all known types of documents, PSTs, excel files, PDFs etc, so that people can find all their content in preparation to moving to another machine, or Cloud based Office suit etc.

not content scanning in that way, but we use 2 bits of software at work:

Agent Ransack - advanced search software
Beyond Compare - gives the ability to compare, merge and sync folders

Agent Ransack I already use instead of Windows search which is just broken.
