Hello everyone I need some help.

In my office we use wifi to connect to the net and too each other, more like a peer to peer thing with internet access for each computer which is ok, but: every now and then, users including my system keep getting booted off the net or we lose connection to the internet only to discover that the wireless network card has lost its link with the router. Is there a reason to this? and if so how can it be solved?

Its a very small office with a maximum of 7 users using the access point on a full day. On a normal day we have 3-4 users sharing the access point. My Administrator tells me its because of the amount of users that causes some users to lose connection. There any truth to this?

The system am using utilizes a Belkin Wireless network card that supports the 802.11g standard as I connect with 54mbps. The router itself is a 2wire router; I don't have much info on its specs at the mo'

Any suggestions on this?

It maybe that you are getting some interfierence from somewhere that is affecting the wireless connection, try changing the wireless channel in the router settings, if that doesn't work try placing the router to a different locations.

Hope this helps!

Download NetStumbler and check what other nets are within range and what channels they are using then change the channel on the router and see if it improves things.
