Continuum

Canadian made, both leads are rather poor. This will be very short lived.
 
They skipped a week with this show. I hate when they do that. I am on episode 5 now and I am enjoying it. Although it is pretty lame still about the best show on TV. Probably says more about the lack of quality shows on tv than this show being amazing. But it is ok.

I just saw that there is another tv show coming out with exactly the same name. this i thought was pretty stupid. But that tv show looks more sci fi that the other continuum series. Check out the trailer of the other tv show called continuum.

 
Thanks for the heads-up groen, that looks good. I must watch Ep 1 this week and see what its like.

I don't know if you could call that a "series" though. Yes there will be 9 episodes, but the whole series is 40 minutes spread across the 9 episodes. :eek:
It is web based only as well (Youtube on 10th July).
 
I was at work so couldn't realy watch it. That other continuum show, the video above, looks kind of a lame. I like the idea though of webepisodes and I think BSG might have started as webepisodes or another tv show did before. I don't know which one used the name first but i think it is kind of stupid to stick with the same name. I would have changed it.

The showcase continuum has been all right so far though. I think it has 10 episodes first season.
 
I watched Continuum not the one above the future one er the one with the cop ;)

Anyhow I was hoping they dont cut the short end of the stick and go back in time to stick with low budget I always wanted to see a scifi show set in the future with future tech, sadly not quite there but they are showing flash backs in the past at least which is good.

anyhow hope it continues :)
 
Sounds similar to a series called Charlie Jade which is about a detective in an alternate universe which looks a bit like Blade Runner who accidentally gets sent to our universe. That was a great premise but was very low budget and some of the writing was poor. Still worth it for DVDs though, some of the sets and cinematography are amazing.
 
They're still in talks but it looks good for a second season. It did really well on the Canadian network channel Showcase.
 
nice good to hear... I hope its renewed and not cut before its prime.

I loved the way they didnt forget the future and show flashbacks :)

Pretty much guaranteed it a renewal.

..because there was nothing in that slot in summer.

Trouble with this show is that after the pilot plot, there is barely anything happening across remaining 9 episodes of series one. Two pages of long term arc at most. This show doesn't know whether it wants to be procedural drama with "magical sidekick" solving one crime per episode, long term arc political conspiracy thriller or time travel sci-fi. Let's hope 13 episode second season is better and more focused.

Oh dear my fears have been verified...

Just seen eps 1 and 2 which were pretty good but the ending to part 2 lead me to the fear that the rest would be strung out Sam Beckett drivel.

Worth continuing (no pun intended) or should I just stop here ?
