So im currently around 2 months into a 24 month contract with 3, paying about £30 per month. I have a galaxy s. Ive been with three for about 6 years, i started a contract with them June 09 then upgraded dec 10.

I used to get ok signal at work, not 3g but it was fine for calls and texts etc. About 3 weeks ago i lost signal from basically everywhere at work. Theres one small place i can sometimes get one bar of signal, otherwise its on "Emergency Calls Only".

From what i gather. Three used to use oranges non 3g network to roam onto, if you had poor signal. It seems that agreement ended in january. Someone from work who is also with 3 emailed them. They say the lack of signal is because we used to roam onto orange (Who are now in agreement with Tmobile).

Is there anything i can do about this? Am i tied into a contract for a further 22 months with next to no signal for majority of 5 days a week?

From what ive been reading around, it seems 3 are actually happy with their own coverage now and wont be roaming with anyone else. My friend at work although on a 1 month rolling contract said he canceled his easily and asked about his wifes as well. They told him to get her to phone up but from reading a bit it looks like i can cancel it. Will phone them tomorrow to hear what they say, but ive had no such text from 3 about roaming. I also have no issue giving up the phone either, il just get another from another network, but a pain to loose the contract (paying £31 pm, 2000 mins, 5000 texts, 5000 3-3 mins, so many picture messages a month and unlimited internet)

Ive just been looking around as it happens, checking on signal strength, price plans etc and some come close to 3 on the sites but no where near :p. I was upgrading so got a decent deal. I will wait to see what 3 say first though, looks like generally they give a lot better 3g coverage than other providers for where i am normally.

Ok so i spoke to three in the end after waiting on details of the Samsung Galaxy 2. They have told me the usual bla bla we are trying to improve the signal but they said i can cancel if i wish, with no extra charges.

So im likely to do that, time to see if i can find out who and when is getting the Galaxy 2
