Left Pipex 2 months in due to various problems all raised with them and they basically did nothing for 3 weeks, so we moved.

Today i got an email from them saying i will be charged a £58.75 fee.

Due to them not offering the right service, basically them promised all this stuff and nothing they said was actually true. Also taking ages to process anything which i have proof. Is there anything i can do? any companies to contact like ofcom?

Thx,
Bez

I have exactley the same issue with AOhelL at the moment. I have looked at OFCOMand the course of action they subscribe to is

  1. Call supplier to make complaint and see if it can be resolved
  2. If not resolved the escalate to "Supervisor"
  3. IF still not resolved then write a formal letter of complaint and ask for acknowledgment
  4. They may then arbitrate on your behalf

I have written a formal letter of complaint and am awaiting the outcome of that. The service has been dire ever since they migrated me to ADSLMax. I the went back onto the 2mbps service and they confirmed they had cancelled my current contract and I was on a month to month contract. 2Mbos was fine until recently and that is going down the toilet now so I have asked for a MAC code to move suppliers. They refuse this as they deny ever changing my contract

As stated OFCOM are pretty much powerless unless you follow the internal complaints process of the ISP as discussed above, fail to follow it and they will most likley refer you to Pipex untill you do refusing to become involved.
