i was wondering what phones could i get as i have just beenon th orange site and it say's i can get any off these for free and as wondering what would be the best ?

i dont normally use internet on my phone so its not key but would be nice if it worked well the main thing i use my phone for is texting music and taking photo's

these are the phones i have been looking at ......

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Black

Samsung Galaxy S in black

Nokia N8

but would be graet to hear people ideas thanks and sorry for being a total phone noob lol :)

why what for the iphone 4 v2 ? as that is out off my budget ?

and besides atm iam using a ruined old samsung phone so need a new phone asap as ill be going town tomorrow to get it

Samsung galaxy is arguably the best android out there, failing that I phone 4 , used both and more then happy with both.

Samsung is cheaper though so you make your choices ......

by the end of this month u will have a few duel core mobiles on the market, and lots to be announced at the mobile phone conference in Feb. my advise to anyone who is gonna lock themselves in for 18 or 24 months is wait and see what is announced and then decide. Anything you get now has been on the market in one shape or another for almost a year. its all gonna change spec wise.

but i take it these dual core phones are going to be exspensize at first so that puts them out off my reach surely

Yeah, rapid64k is referring to the LG Optimus 2X Android phone (the first dual core superphone, should be free on a £30 contract in mid March and a million times better your Arena :p)

If your not really interested try out these phones at any Orange shop.

Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Omnia 7
N8
HTC Desire HD
HTC Desire Z

Pic your fav then look at mobiles.co.uk, buymobilephones.net and quidco. They usually have the best Orange deals. (all should be free on your dolphin 35 for ~£30pm, click me for example)

iam not too fussed about latest and greatest tbh

and this put the sonys out the running as they seem pants for battery life so its now between the

N8 and Galaxy S as my main choice's

n8 for features or the samsung for the looks lol

its just about latest or greatest its about protecting your investment. the GalaxyS is a fine phone as is the desire range, one of which i have, however they have been out pretty much 12months. i presume you are about to buy a phone that you wish to have for 18months - 24 months. again i would wait for the new models due very soon. Samsung & HTC seem to have pretty much given up releasing the latest os updates to these already

The N8 is not a popular phone (because it's awful) - if you really want one, try before you buy instore.
