Hi

im just about to start my first foray into Contract work after being made redundant in December and working for the poorest company i've ever come across for a week in January i've now decided to look at contracting and *think* ive got my first contract.

so.. can anybody advise of a good IT Umbrella company.

and has anybody else got any advice on the subject?

thanks in advance for any assistance / information

Have any of you contractors come across the possibility of contracting from home or at least from home part of the time?

It depends on the company, the individuals you're working for.

The majority of the time you'd be expected to work from a particular office. I'm actually working from home this morning but that's the exception rather than the rule.

I work at Parasol so if you've got any questions fire away.

Be careful of some of the "supermarket / comparison" sites as some are ran by or associated with some of the companies they review!
