Contrast profiles?

Is there something out there that can alter desktop brightness/contrast via hotkeys? I've tried binding some for "nView > Display Settings > Adjust display contrast" but it doesn't seem to alter anything when hitting the hotkeys.

Just switched from CRT to a 2408WFP and its quick contrast menu is a right faff at no less than 8 keypresses to make an adjustment. Entering the sluggish NVCP to alter settings isn't really ideal either.

Daytime settings are blinding in the evenings, and it would be nice to ramp it back up with a hotkey when I'm in a game.

I've calibrated my sons monitor with a few different luminance levels. 120cdm2, 140cdm2 and 160cdm2. etc.
All the profiles are installed, then use a program called display profile to switch between profiles.
One mouse click selects the different luminance levels, no hot keys but it works well
