Contrast ratio Vs colour?

So been agonising over a new monitor for a while now. I am refusing to pay out over 2k for something with local dimming and I appreciate that HDR on something without local dimming isn't really hdr... So I'm stuck deciding to go with a modern VA and having that good contrast ratio or going IPS for the colour. I don't know what I want more.

It's like without dimming and brightness an IPS is just about colour but will always appear to be washed out. Or having the greater contrast ratio yet poor colours.

So what's best for game immersion for FPS like BF5 and SWBF2 etc? Colour or contrast?

MSI MPG34 vs LG 34GK950 etc?

PS I think I now want ultrawide and have rtx2080

Contrast, My Eizo FG2421 is no longer for sale it held the record for such a long time most displays were pre FALD capping at 1000:1 true so you had blacks that looked silver and dirty whites. Now my Eizo had 5000:1 the whites are blindung, The blacks are really inky as well which lends to the entire color pallette.

This is great for night time scenes does BF not have a night map? To be fair though no modern non Fald IPS can actually do 5000:1 either this is all OLED FALD and VA territory.

I went from an IPS to a VA and I much prefer VA but if you're sensitive to motion blur then deal with IPS. Its really going around in round abouts.

FALD is nice but has crazy halo effect which is a hard pill to swallow when you're paying 3x more than everyone else.
