now my understanding is theres a few options out there to achieve this, but theres a catch (there always is)

one is a windows 10 machine (soon to be W11 when i get round to upgrading sometime soon)
and the other is a mac running big sur.

rather than cluttering up the destk with additional devices any suggestions ?

I use a ugreen usb 3.0 switch selector, works for me, but I don't think OCUK sell it.

You can always tape it underneath the desk if you want to reduce the clutter!

or a keyboard which has multiple device ability.

I have a dell slim keyboard and mouse which comes with a usb receiver and can also connect to 2 other Bluetooth devices.

Connect one PC via usb receiver and other via Bluetooth. To swap was a simple case of a slider selector switch on the keyboard and a button on the mouse.
