Hi all

This is my first post on OcUK so be gentle with me :-)

I've just been installing 3 rather nice noctua nf-s12 120mm fans into the side of my coolermaster stacker 832. All three are plugged into the asus p5ne32 sli plus - 1 CHA_FAN, 1 opt_fan1, 1 opt_fan2

However when I go into the bios (0805) no speeds are shown. Everest also doesn't show them but I'm not sure if they should appear in Everest or not.

But my main question really is about my zalman 9700.. no matter what I set in bios, duty cycle 60% or 100%, or Q-Fan , it always runs at 2700rpm , according to everest anyway. I can't find the little external controller that came with the zalman. I had a very quick play with speedfan but that didn't seem to do anything. There must be a way to control it from bios or software ??

Can anyone help?

I gave up with software control on my new build. The Asus Q-Fan stuff was useless and I tried all the usual pieces of software and didn't have any success either. Also, you may find like I did that in order for the bios to speed control many of the fans it needs to have a temperature sensor plugged in which is a bit of a joke.
I settled on a hardware solution in the end, can't beat a decent fan contoller.
