Hi there,Got my new rig finished over christmas and i absolutely love it
I5 [email protected]
Asus P8Z68-v-pro gen 3
MSi gtx570 twin frozr pe oc
8 gb crucial ballistix tactical tracer
There is one problem i have atm though, and that is the racket of the cpu cooler.
Its a Spire thermax eclipse2 v2,and it does a bloody good job of cooling my chip at overclocked temps, only thing is when i'm watching a movie or whatever the noise is just unbearable,so i was wondering if i could control the fan speed somehow without the need for a fan controller.
I've tried speedfan, asus fan xpert,i've even had a look in the bios, and there is an option to change it,but doesnt seem to work.
The cooler has 2 fans in push/pull config and both fans are 3 pin fans,1 connected to cpu fan header and the other to cpu fan opt,if anyone could help me slow these beasts it would be brilliant,as i've tried everything i can think of.
btw i wouldnt mind getting a fan controller, but then the fans would need to be plugged into that, and the mobo would probably not be happy with no cpu fan plugged into that header,if any of my older mobo's are anything to go by.
sorry for the text wall lol and thanks for looking
