Hi. I have 12900K stock

32 GB 2x16 GB DDR4 3600mhz

Palit Gamerock Pro OC rtx 4090

1300W Seasonic Platinum Prime

Aorus Elite DDR4 Z690

Windows 11 2H22. Updated new nvidia drivers.

Today i played Control and had weird freez. All stopped ,character stop moving, only music was in background. I logout from system and check event logs.

eventlog screen:
2.jpg

2 errors.

1.display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered

2.The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\000000ab
Error occurred on GPUID: 100

Rma card now or just keep it ? I am worried because during freez ,driver crashed. I never had driver crash in this game.

I checked 3dmark speed way, port royal, quake 2 rtx no crashing.Drivers are newest. Also my memory is 100% stable.

I know that this game can crash on 12900K due to e cores. Just simply turn e cores off and it will be crash free.
But never i had driver crash so i ask. Thanks

card is on stock, but i know that this game dont tolerate any oc. When i had 2080 ti and oc too much it was crashing driver. But today it happened first time on my 4090 in control dont know why. I have card 3 months and never crashed driver.

Sometimes drivers crash. Start the game again and move on.
DO NOT RMA the card for this. It's a home PC running Windows, not a big-iron cluster with a 100% uptime guarantee.
