ive set my settings to 16af and 4aa and set multisampling on with vsync of,now is it best when you can set it in games to just leave it in the control panel as application controlled or is it always best to set them in control panel to what settings you want cheers

In-game settings are usually more compatible, but often the in-game settings are lacking and you have to fall back on the driver settings. If you want to use something like HDR+AA in Oblivion, you'll have to use drivers.

cheers Ulfhedjinn its just that in quake wars have it set to 16af and also set to 16af in game but still doesnt feel as if its turned on if you no what i mean m8

Aye I know exactly what you mean. Do you see any difference if you enable them in drivers as well?

Edit: Just noticed you said AF is at 16x in both drivers and in the game. It could just be in your head. :p What I'd do is take screenshots with AF at 16x and 0x, in both drivers and in game, and see if it's actually there.
