I wonder if anyone has heard of a speaker set like this.
I am building a HTPC, which will hopefully do everything from playing music to TV to DVD's etc.
What I would like is to connect this to a speaker system which allows me to easily scale the sound according to wwhat is being watched.
For example, if the kids are watching Teletubbies, we do not need this in full surround 5.1 kickass bass. In fact we would really rather not have it as such. What I want is to be able to switch everything but the centre off.
Then when I sit down to watch a film, I switch it all back on .
I could just play the sound through the TV, but I have an old CRT TV, and whilst I can connect the HTPC to it using an RGB to Scart connector, the Audio would have to go through the front connectors, which is rather unsightly
