I assume this is meant to be in the PC forum?

You'll be unlikely to find many people recommending anything other than the 360 pad for the PC. It's ace, supported automatically by most games, and also really good for driving games if it takes you a while to get a wheel.

ps3 pad, theres a tool you can download so you can use it, depends on if you own any consoles already really? and which pad you prefer.

I bought an xbox 360 controller myself, even though I have few games that have use for a controller. Its a great controller and is guaranteed to work properly on Windows!

If you ever plan on using the d-pad, ps3 or old ps2 pad is good. If it's just the analogue sticks you're interested in then an xbox360 pad does win out over anything else as it has decent analogue and is more well supported in PC games.

for button bashing games like Tony Hawk 2, deffo the PS2 pad (and for ice hockey / football games)

for racing and all other games, the xbox 360 pad :)

I prefer the ps2 pad myself, I got this one at a pc fair for 10 €, works perfectly although its a bit sensitive when you drop it ( had to repair the vibration as the 2 vibration engines were knocked out of their position), handle it properly ( as in don't drop it on your floor and it's perfect :

I'm also a PS3 owner but prefer the 360 pad

I find that the positioning of the left analogue stick on the PS3 pad isn't great - it's awfully uncomfortable

I've been wondering whether you could somehow get a USB 360 pad to work on a PS3... (I'll probably be shot now! :p )
