hi,

i am currently using the logitech mx3200 keyboard amd mouse set, well the set isn't that good, the keyboard buttons are quiet hard to press and the mouse is good for general use and not very precise, anyhow ive got afew questions.

I am thinkg of getting a xbox 360 wired controller and if there is no lag on the wireless one than probably that one. i play these games

1) cyrsis

2) racing games like dirt

3) i am going to want to play assasins creed on it.

or should i get a gaming mouse, if so recommend me one.

Why are wirelss mouses so crap for gaming and what is the dpi on the mouse that comes with the mx3200 set?

or another approach would be just to get a razor mouse, i am particularly interested in anything that is blue, i would also like something back and forward buttons and it has to be reasonably comfortable.

thanks

The wireless Xbox 360 controller doesn't work with PC btw.

PC FPS games don't tent to work well with controllers either since there's no sticky aim.

The controller does work well with racing and action games though - although it may be better getting a console for those types of games, lest you spend hundreds on PC components so that their crappy console ports run ok on PC.

If you want a gaming mouse then I suggest the Logitech MX518.

yes you can get wireless 360 controller for the PC but you need a Crossfire Wireless Receiver to go with it. A competitor is selling them for £32.99 delivered (controller and receiver)

Here is my pc jsut in case your wondering, the keyboard and mouse does truly let down the gaming experience. The keyboard is so LOUD comapred to acer ferrari laptop is so annoying.

1) I am considering to get a replacement for the keyboard aswell, maybe a wired one, what do you guys think about a wireless keyboard for gaming are they good?
1) Why did you suggest the MX518 as appossed to the G9?
2) What is the warranty period on the Razer mouses? One of the most attractive things on the logitech is the 5 year guarantee.
3) How does a Razer mouse of roughly the same price compare to the mx518?
4) Does logitech do somesort of exchange program, i bought my key & mouse on the 2 Jan it was shipped on the 04 Jan and it arrived on the 07 Jan, is it likely that over clockers will exchange it for say the lgoitech mx518 and another keyboard.

1) no they are not, very annoying if you run out of batteries or you get some singal interference.

2) N/A

3) it is all personal preference with mice, most of *** gaming mice are similar DPI, it is just how it feels in your hand.

4) NO they don't. If it wasn't used you maybe able to return it saying it wasn't what you wanted, but if you have used it then it would more than likley be non returnable.

Personally, I use a Saitek Eclipse keyboard with blue lights and a G5, both great.

The G5 is reponsive with on-the-fly resolution settings, and weights for individual preferences although I have none in mine. The keyboard is quiet, comfortable to use and is great for playing in the dark as all the letters light up :)

1) is there anything close to a laptop type keyboards except the mac range? What i am looking for is something really quiet.
2) are there any companies that offer similar warranty to logitech? i.e. something like 3 years
3) I am thinking of getting the middle one, any thoughts?
4) does anyone know the dpi on the mouse that coems with the mx3200 set, i'd just like to compare with the one i am going to buy.

Can i ahve everyones thoughts on the ofllowing mouses. Thanks

hi guys please vote for what you would choose

how does this combo sound?

Razer Copperhead Tempest + Logitech Wave Keyboard Black
Logitech MX518 + Logitech Wave Keyboard Black

Laser is better than optical right? if yes how much better is an optical mouse comparedt to a laser one i.e. mx518 vs copperhead. i am thinking of getting the logitech mainly because of the guarantee but i'll hold until i get more feedback.

I dont want to get the saitek as i dont need the backlights

Laser is not better than optical, misconception.

I would go with an Optical mouse every time.

Most professional players use one of the following.

Microsoft Intellimouse 3
Microsoft Intellimouse 3 SS
Microsoft Intellimouse 1.1
Microsoft Intellimouse 1.1 SS
Logitech MX518
Razer Deathadder

There may be instances of other mice being used, but they are few and far between.

Ideally, you want a good surface to use with that. I have a low sensetivity, around 15 inches per 180, so I use a large, cloth surface. Several are available, the best of which are generally considered to be....

Steelseries QCK+
Steelseries QCK Heavy
Everglide Titan
Razer Mantis

Oh, and you'll want an optimization guide if you're finickety like myself.

Try and find a mouse that suits your grip, and is comfortable to use.

As for keyboard, a keyboard is a keyboard - buy one that you like the look of, and for gods sake, don't get a wireless one.
