Except it's currently out of stock and officially licensed third party wired xbox one controllers can be purchased in most shops for less then £30

That's the controller the op should get - I'm sure he's clever enough to figure out where to get one from.

Which is why I didn't mention names even though tesco and sainsburys couldn't be classed as competitors.
