I used to have a wired xbox 360 controller which worked fine on Windows XP, 7 and 10. When that died I got a Xbox one controller which does work on 10 but not XP and 7, so I also got an MSI GC20 I think it was that worked like a 360 controller (i.e. installing the xbox 360 controller general drive from microsoft worked for it). Now 5+ years later that's now dead and I don't know where to start with new controllers with analogue triggers that work on XP and 7...
Before I buy another MSI GC20 and try and track down the V1 version does anyone else use anything different?
