Hi all,
i am in the middle of building my new PC and have hit a problem. The new case fans (Akasa Viper and Apaches) use 4 pin fan connectors (not molex) instead of the normal 3. As such my Zalman fan controllers will not work with them unless i mod the cable which is easy done i know.
But im wondering if there is a program i can use to control the fans from within windows. Ive read the bios can control them but i would prefer to do it in windows like i could with RivaTuner to adjust my 8800GTXs fan. Could Lavelys do it?
Or if i let the bios do it will they run at full speed all the time? I find with my current cooling i only need to run the fans at 80% speed and it reduces noise levels a hell of a lot. Going above 80% increases the noise too much for that extra degree or so of cooling.
Thanks.
