Controlling 5 fans RPM?

Hi all,
I've got 5 fans in my pc, as a push-pull setup and the other three as case fans. 4 are sickleflow 120, and one is the stock fan that comes with the 212 hyper+. I'm just wondering is there any way to control all the fans speed, preferably as required by cpu temperature?
Mobo is MSI p67a -gd53, which to my knowledge can only control two fans. Am I correct then in saying I will need a fan controller? And if so, can it control multiple fans while being slave to the mobo via one 3 or 4 pin connection?

Thanks

yeah i would just get a fan controller, ive been using one for long time, mine just manual tho, have them all set to min this time of year

Well I would look at it like this. Do you want to let them respond to temperatures automatically or are you happy to control the speeds manually? Further still, are you happy to set the speeds once and once only and leave tham at that speed?

If automatic: software or hardware?
If manual: fan controller
If set speed: hard wire fans at 5v or 7v for example.

Well, surely sertting the speed once is the worst idea, I'd rather they just run as they do now at 100% (just it's noisy and not needed). Preferably I'd have the speeds controlled automatically, so as it can adjust to added load from games/apps.

Now, bearing in mind it's 5 fans I'm talking about, could a compromise even be reached of:
the push & pull fans joined with a splitter to the cpu fan pins
and the rest hooked up to an external controller

or, seeing as I can control two sets of fans from the bios, maybe hook 2 of the three case fans to a second splitter and leave the exhaust at 100%?

ps, apologies but I've literally only found out about splitters existing having seen someone's thread on OC.

How about this? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-070-AK&groupid=1929&catid=1979&subcat=

That allows you to run 5 fans off of one PWM header but takes power from a molex connector to avoid overloading the mobo.

Hey that's even better than the old 3 way Akasa AK-CB002 PWM splitter

Cheaper and pre-sleeved too.

More details here as the OcUK description is a bit on the slight side.

This cable will report back only one fan speed. You can also use different fan makes as well (contrary to what some say) and they'll all work off whatever duty cycle your motherboard sends.

It looks like a very useful cable at a very good price. I plan on getting one and some extra fans when I can get around to modding my Scouts side panel. I have a mobo with one PWM header and a side panel that won't let me fit fans because of the psu and cpu cooler, so a bit of work is required :p
