The family saftey thing looks ok, I like the idea that you can set so you little one can only go on sites you have listed.

I used NetNanny on my daughters PC, worked really well and enabled me to tone down the settings as she got older. My son has Kasperspy internet securaty and family saftey running at the moment and that seems to do the job just fine.

Where there is a will to get round it of course they can, but i'm doing my bit as a parent and they know that if I catch them out of the boundries i've set they will be in trouble.

Oh, and the router is set to cut internet at a certain agreed time in the evening... Its not that my daughter doesn't know the rules, its more that she can go on msn/bebo etc and becomes completely unaware of the time.

There was a time a while back when she was being chatted up by this boy and he was trying to chat to her past router off time, he was telling her to change the clock on her computer to get round it, noob :D
