Hey guys,

I just got myself a R.A.T 5 mouse, and i'm not really using the mode button for anything, nor do I need it. I was wondering if I could use this button to switch between different modes of my fans. For example, a quiet mode, normal mode and full speed mode. I have an Asus p8z77-v Mobo with Asus Fan Expert 2 installed.

This would be really useful as I find the fan expert 2 software sluggish when I want to up my fan speed when I'm playing a game or something to keep things cool.

Thanks a lot guys, any suggestions are welcome.

Could be possible if you could somehow create key binds that change the fan speed, which then could be bound to the R.A.Ts buttons?

No idea if it's actually feasible though.

Not sure if you can do what you've asked -but is a neat idea, however I think I'l share what I use the mode button for on my R.A.T. mouse, which isnt a lot but anyways, - I have 2 modes and atm the only difference between them is the function the thumb wheel preforms, on mode 1 I have it so that I scroll right to cycle through all open windows (binded windows key+tab) and scroll left it cycles through all open tabs in my browser (binded ctrl and tab)

then on mode 2 I have it so scrolling right increases volume and scrolling left decreases volume,

these arnt major features but they are now creature comforts I've grown accustomed to, perhaps you could use your mode buttons in a similar way?
