Hi since i got my new M/B, i have found it has plenty of space for around 5 case fans. Would i be best running the fans from the M/B or using a fan controller?

I pressume the motherboard will have no control over the fan speed am i right?

Depnds on the fans you buy, if there high power / speed then I would use a FSC, if your buying quiet fans like the Xilence Red Wings then you may not need to adjust the speed and connect them straight to the motherboard.

Thank you. I am looking at getting some slow speed quiet fans. Think i will have to look more in to noise and air flow.

Some mobo do have the ability to control the speed of the fans. Try speedfan and see what you can control / what is detected.

Im taking everything apart soon so i will connect them up then and see. Would prefer to use a fan controller just for more control
