Controlling media player while in a game?

While I'm playing games I sometimes like to have media player running in the background with all my music on shuffle. Is there any program I can get that allows me to skip the song while I'm in a game? It's a pain to minimise the game just to skip the song.
 
I can recommend a plugin called hotkeys for winamp. It does exactly what you want.

I don't use media player so I can't recommend one for that I'm afraid :)
 
Hmm I'd prefer to stick to media player. There must be something like that available for media player somewhere.
 
Probably not. I'd set up a preferred playlist and stick to it when you run a game rather than having to flick thru the dross to listen to what you want!
 
If you can't find a program that does it, I can do that using a Logitech Media Keyboard, it's got additional buttons for control volume, mute, next, previous, play/pause etc. Few other keyboards have them as well.

was it you who had the logitech setup in the car? i've got the logitech media remote setup and it's pretty good. the remote rocks :cool: but anyway yeah, and keyboard with media controls should do it
