Ive got a p5q pro and and arctic freezer thing, but the fan always runs at the highest speed and that is very loud. On my previous motherboard i managed to use speedfan to run it down slightly, which made the world of good( with sound), however i cant get speedfan to recognise the fan, nor find an configs on their website.. Your help would be appreciated

I have the P5q-E, you can change the profile in bios to quiet on mine so I guess you should be able to as well.

Yeah in the bios there is an option under hardware monitoring IIRC called Q-fan for the cpu. Enable it then change it between standard, silent and turbo to suit your liking.
