I have my LCD TV in close proximity to my PC and would like to be able to play some of my games on it. I've had it hooked up via HDMI but I can't really be bothered switching active monitors around in nvidia control panel everytime I want to play a game, and I have no desire to use it more generally. Plus switching all the time messes up my desktop icons.

Is there a better way of doing this? I don't mind spending a bit of money if it's going to make things considerably easier.

I have the same setup. Windows Key + "P". Select "Projector Only", done. You don't even have to apply your choice afterwards.

Could you not just dual screen and switch over when you want to play a game?

I should've mentioned I'm already using dual screen with 2 pc monitors, my card doesn't support 3 monitors though.

Just had a play with this - It has made things a bit easier actually, even though I have 2 pc monitors and my tv connected. When I use duplicate mode, it duplicates my primary monitor on my TV while switching my secondary pc monitor off, and when I go to projector only, it just switches back to my 2 normal monitors. Weird, but it works? Better than what I was doing before anyway so, cheers.

I use UltraMon, you can set up display profiles and switch between them with hotkeys or shortcuts. Also AMD Catalyst Control Center can do it, not sure about nVidias stuff.
